Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect what's needed to plan meals for your household and nothing more. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your data to train AI models. We never store your calendar events. You can delete everything from inside the app.
Who we are
Tablekin is made by Gooder Software LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("we," "us"). This policy covers the Tablekin apps for iPhone and Android, our website, and the Tablekin connector for Claude.
What we collect
Your account
- Your name and email address.
- An identifier from the sign-in service you choose (Apple, Google, or email). If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we only receive Apple's relay address.
Your household's content
- Recipes, including photos you add and links you import from.
- Meal plans, notes on meals, and who is eating each meal.
- Shopping lists and who added or checked off each item.
- Staples and lists of what's on hand. If you share a fridge photo with Claude, Claude reads it and sends us only the list of items. We don't receive or store the photo.
- A history of changes in your household, including changes Claude made and who asked for them, so they can be undone.
Diet information
- For each person in your household: an eating pattern (such as vegetarian), foods they dislike, allergies chosen from a fixed list, and optional diet goals (such as lower sodium).
- We don't ask for medical conditions or diagnoses, and the app has no place to enter them. We use diet information only to plan meals and show allergy warnings.
People without accounts
A household member can add someone who doesn't have an account, such as a child. We store only the name and diet information they enter for that person.
Guests
When a meal has guests, a member can enter a guest's name, eating pattern, and allergies so the meal can be checked for them. We keep this with that meal, and if someone confirms a meal despite a possible allergen, we record who confirmed it and for whom.
Calendar
- We store which of your calendars you chose to plan around and which calendar receives meals, and the identifiers of meal events created on your Meals calendar.
- We do not store your calendar events. When you ask Claude to plan around your schedule, Claude reads your calendar through its own calendar connection, not through Tablekin.
Purchases
Whether your household has an active subscription and when it renews. Payments are handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe. We never receive your card number.
Diagnostics
Crash reports and basic performance data, such as your app version and device model, to fix bugs. These don't include your recipes, lists, or diet information.
What we don't collect
- Your location.
- Your contacts. Invites are sent through the share sheet, and we never see who you send them to.
- Advertising identifiers. We don't track you across other apps or websites.
The Claude connector
If you connect Tablekin to Claude, Claude can read and change your household's Tablekin data when you ask it to, such as scheduling meals or adding items to your list. You choose whether to allow changes or only reading, and you can disconnect at any time from Claude's settings.
When a member asks Claude to plan or read the household, we send Claude the data it asks for, which can include everyone's diet and allergy information and names of people without accounts. Anthropic then handles it, along with your conversations with Claude, under Anthropic's own privacy policy, not this one. We receive only the requests Claude sends to Tablekin and the data needed to answer them.
How we use your information
- To run Tablekin: syncing your household's content, building shopping lists, and showing allergy and fridge warnings.
- To answer support requests.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To understand how Tablekin is used, through counts across all households, like how many meals were planned this week. These counts come from our own records, not third-party trackers, and aren't used to profile anyone.
- To tell you about important changes to your account or this policy.
We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Who can see your information
- Your household. Everyone in a household can see its recipes, plans, lists, change history, and each person's diet information, because planning needs it.
- Service providers who run parts of Tablekin for us and may only use data to do that: Vercel (hosting), [DATABASE PROVIDER] (database and storage), WorkOS (sign-in), RevenueCat (subscription status), Stripe (web payments), and [CRASH REPORTING PROVIDER] (crash reports).
- When the law requires it, such as a valid court order, or to protect someone's safety.
- If our business changes hands, your information would move with it, and this policy would still apply.
How long we keep it
- Your account and household content, for as long as your account is active.
- If you leave a household, the household keeps its shared content, and your diet information is removed from it.
- If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Copies in encrypted backups are removed within [BACKUP DAYS] days.
- A household with no members left is deleted 30 days after the last person leaves.
Your choices and rights
- See and edit your information anytime in the app.
- Export your recipes from the Recipes screen.
- Delete your account in the app under Household, then Account, then Delete account, or by emailing us.
- Disconnect Claude from Claude's connector settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, such as asking what we hold about you or withdrawing consent for diet information. Some US states, including Washington, have specific rules for consumer health data. We treat allergy and diet goal information under those rules. To make any request, email us. We'll respond within the time your local law requires and won't treat you differently for asking.
Children
Tablekin accounts are for adults. We don't knowingly let anyone under 13 create an account. A parent or guardian can add a child as a person without an account, and only the name and diet information they enter are stored. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each household's data is kept separate from other households', and access is checked on every request. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
