Terms of Use
The short version. Tablekin helps your household plan meals and shop. Your recipes are yours. Tablekin Household is a subscription billed by Apple that you can cancel any time. Allergy warnings are a helpful check, not a guarantee: always read labels. If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to make it right.
Who we are and what these terms cover
Tablekin is made by Gooder Software LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("we," "us"). These terms cover the Tablekin apps for iPhone and Android, our website, and the Tablekin connector for Claude (together, "Tablekin"). By creating an account or using Tablekin, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Tablekin.
Accounts and households
- You must be at least 13 to create an account. Tablekin accounts are meant for adults; a parent or guardian can add a child as a person without an account.
- You sign in with Apple, Google, or email. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- A household shares its recipes, meal plan, grocery list, and activity with everyone in it. Anyone you invite can see and change them. Invite only people you trust, and remove anyone who shouldn't be there.
- The person who creates a household is its owner. The owner can edit anyone's details; other members can edit their own and those of people without accounts.
The free plan and Tablekin Household
- The free plan includes up to 25 recipes and 50 changes by Claude a month.
- Tablekin Household removes those limits for everyone in the household. It costs $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year in the US (prices may differ in other countries and are shown before you buy). One subscription covers the whole household.
- When we offer a free trial, the App Store shows its length before you subscribe. In our first year, the yearly plan starts with 3 months free and the monthly plan with 7 days free. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings (on iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Tablekin Household until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments, refunds, and billing problems are handled by Apple under its terms. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We may change prices. A change never applies to a period you've already paid for, and Apple tells you before a higher price applies to your subscription.
Allergies, diets, and food safety
Please read this section carefully.
- Tablekin flags a possible allergen when a recipe's ingredient text matches an allergy someone in the meal has. It works from the words in the recipe, which can be incomplete or wrong, and it can't see brands, cross-contact, or what's actually in the package.
- A meal without a warning has not been checked for safety. Never treat a meal as allergen-free because Tablekin didn't flag it. Always read ingredient labels and ask about anything you're unsure of, especially for severe allergies.
- Fridge times use the shortest time in FoodSafety.gov guidance for a fridge at 40°F or below. They're a reminder, not a guarantee. When in doubt, throw it out.
- Tablekin isn't medical, nutrition, or dietary advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian about health needs.
Claude and other services
- The Tablekin connector lets Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, read and change your household's recipes, plan, and list when you ask it to. Changes Claude makes in Tablekin appear in Activity with Undo. Events Claude puts on your calendar are made through Google and can't be undone from Tablekin.
- Claude can make mistakes. Check what it plans before you rely on it, particularly anything involving allergies.
- Claude, Apple, Google, and our sign-in and payment providers are separate services with their own terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for them, and your use of them is between you and them.
Your content
- Your recipes, photos, notes, lists, and plans are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, and show them only as needed to run Tablekin for you and your household, such as syncing them between phones and showing them to the people you share a household with. We don't sell your content or use it to train AI models.
- Only add content you have the right to use. When you import a recipe from a website, the recipe belongs to its author; Tablekin keeps a link to where it came from, for your household's personal use.
- You can export all your recipes at any time from the Recipes tab.
Using Tablekin fairly
Don't misuse Tablekin. That includes trying to get into other households' data, interfering with or overloading the service, scraping it or using automated access other than the Claude connector as intended, reverse engineering it except where the law allows, guessing or sharing invite codes to join households you weren't invited to, or using it for anything unlawful.
Ending your account, and changes to Tablekin
- You can delete your account at any time in the app under Household, then Account, then Delete account. We delete your data within 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple account settings too.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your recipes.
- We're always improving Tablekin, so features may change. If we ever shut Tablekin down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the app so you can export your recipes.
Warranties and liability
- We work hard to keep Tablekin accurate and available, but it's provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Tablekin is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Tablekin in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
- Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.
Disputes
If you have a problem with Tablekin, email us first at admin@goodersoftwarellc.com. Most things can be sorted out quickly that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can't resolve informally will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
Apple
If you got Tablekin from Apple's App Store, these terms also include the following, which Apple requires:
- These terms are between you and Gooder Software LLC, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Tablekin and its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow, and is non-transferable.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Tablekin.
- If Tablekin fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Tablekin.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to Tablekin, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims.
- If someone claims Tablekin infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you aren't on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Tablekin, such as your wireless carrier's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
If we make a significant change, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Using Tablekin after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
